All Boy!!

April 29, 2009

Had a nice day at school today. Then did an exercise video with friends for 1/2 hour. Determined to lose weight.
Made this card yesterday. The paper was from Carolscrafts ( I think) and the image is Magnolia. The wording is a rub on from DCWV.
The second card is with Lily stamp from Stampavie. I have used Laura Ashley papers as they are so pretty. Hope you like them. Please let me know.

Sizzix Card Making Day

April 28, 2009

Hi again
Thought you might like to see some of the cards I made today in card lessons. The first one is a digital image from Grabadoodledo that I coloured with Promakers. I have matted and layered with my new Sizzix Bigz die. Love to know what you think.

The next two cards are made from the Sizzix die also. The lady in the red dress is made with aq stamp from Rubbernecker and the black and white card was a die cut decoupage. Hope you like these too.

Congrats Edwin!
Sorry this post for the Edwin card is a few days late. I thought I had posted it with this description but obviously had put it under the wrong post.. Making men’s cards can be quite hard but they are much easier with these wonderful stamps.
I used K & Co Blue Awning, Nestabilities, Edwin Magnolia stamp and Promarkers. Hope you like it

Just Magnolia challenge

April 27, 2009

Busy morning at school today – I am a part time teaching assistant at a local primary school. I was suppposed to have a card lesson this afternoon but unfortunately the ladies couldn’t come so i did 1/2 exercise in the gym with a friend. I would have liked to have made a card really. This is the card i am hoping to enter into the Just magnolia challenge. The theme is pink and green. I hope you like it.

Thankyou for the comments!!!

Sorry no post yesterday. I had 2 card making lessons yesterday afternoon. I was showing them how to use Promarkers which they all thought were really good. They really are fantastic. I keep stamping images and colouring them in. I must find the time to put them together onto cards!
As the weather was good my husband and I spent several hours in the garden fixing a brick wall and cutting down unwanted plants.
Thankyou to my new Norwegian friend for the lovely comments. They have really given me a boost.
Tomorrow I start preparing for a Scrapbook Taster I am doing on Thursday for a group in Walsall, West Midlands. There should be about 12 in attendance. I hope it goes well and that I can inspire them to get into Scrapbooking!!!
See you tomorrow

Well Done Edwin!

Pink Ballerina

April 24, 2009

This is a digital image that I have coloured in with ProMarkers of a manga style ballerina. I did use glitter on the ruffles, but it doesn’t really show up. I quite like the layered effect. I thought it would be nice to have the image in a different colour to the backing papers to make it stand out more. Hope you like it. Sarah XXX

Well this is scary. My first ever blog! So technical!!! I have viewed so many wonderful blogs and the fantastic card designs I thought that I would have a go too.

On Saturday I was demonstrating  ProMarkers for Hotshotcrafts at Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace, London).  We were busy the moment the show opened to when it closed. I think there will have been a lot of stamped imaged coloured in that night!

The card shown below is made using Pocket full of Posies Stack, Nestabilities, Branch Punch, Stick on Gems, Magnolia Stamp and ProMarkers:
