Just Magnolia week 21

Another card for you. This is following Mina’s sketch at Just Magnolia
I’ve used one of the older Magnolia stamps and kept it to manly colours. I used a circle punch then scrunched up the circles and put a brad in the middle. The sentiment is actually whiff of Joy
I will add some glitter to the champagne later (when I find it!)

Here is my entry for MOJO Monday. The DT did some beautiful cards. The cupcake stamp is one I brought back from America. The sentiment is Whiff of Joy and the colouring Promarkers. Papers are from my stash.

Papertake challenge sketch 23

Hi everyone
Been busy making up some Whiff of Joy samples. I have just bought some older Magnolia stamps and I have used Tilda with Magnolias for the Papertake challenge. The sketch was nice and easy to follow. I coloured Tilda with PM’s and used Papermania stick on alphabets. The papers are from my stash.

Wow. What a busy week. I did a lesson on Tuesday which was a mixture of cards and scrapbooking. We spent more time comparing holiday info. It was really nice.
I’ve also been busy making up samples for Hotshotcrafts for the upcoming show at Manchester this weekend, Sandown and Ally Pally etc. They have the new range of WIld Rose Studio stamps. I have also made some cards using the new Trimcraft “The snowman” range.Lastly, and i’m really excited about this, I have made some samples using Justrite stampers ( as used by Becca Feeken who I met at the CHA show in Florida). They will be in the shop very soon. They allow you to personally customize your cards/craft with any wording and work fantastically with your Nesties. They are available at the show and at the shop.
I will post some photos of some of these samples but at the moment i’m having serious problems with photobucket!!!
The first card is my entry for Just Magnolia week 20 Ribbons and Bows challenge.
I have used one of the new seasons Tilda stamp, coloured with Promarkers. I have used my new Kaleidescope pendant from spellbinders. The papers are DCWV and another from my stash.

Dare u 2 digi challenge

My son got his A level results last week. A,B,B,C. so to congratulate him I made this card. Dan doesn’t really like fussy things so I kept the card very simple. The image is a download from charmed cards and crafts which I have coloured with Promarkers.
The colours for their challenge are blue green and white or cream. I think their range of Mikey images are great as it can be so hard to make cards for teenage boys/young men.

Promarker week 14 purple and Just Magnolia week 19

I made loads of cards yesterday and 3 of them qualify for the Promarker challenge. I’m not sure if you can submit more than one entry, but i’ll give it a go.
The first card is Tilda sitting. I have used lilac , lavender, 2 shades of grey, cornflower and blush. The cicles are embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The papers are DCWV This is being entered into the Just Magnolia challenge.

The second card is princess Anya from the Greetings Farm. She is matted onto a scalloped square cut from Nestables. Again I have used lilac and lavender with blossom pink for the underskirt. Two shades of grey are used for her hair.

The third card is a stamped image I purchased from a friend. I can’t remember the make of stamp. The backing paper is Basic Grey. I think the thankyou stamp is Penny Black.

Sugar bowl challenge #17

Well after a morning making cards and a card lesson this afternoon here is my entry for the sugar bowl challenge.
I have used a Gorjuss girl coloured in with Promarkers. The papers are from a DCWV stack I had from America.I made the flowers using 2 sizes of retro flower punches

CHA craft show, Florida Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the CHA craft show I attended in Florida a couple of weeks ago. It was great. Sara Johnson from Crafters Companion was there. I spoke to her very briefly as she was busy. I had my photo taken with Becca Feeken from Amazing Grace. She also demos for Spellbinders and Justrite stamps. Her cards are amazing!!!. There is a picture of the queue to get into the show. It was the first time the trade show was held in Florida and the first time that they then opened it up to the public. It certainly seemed a success. The bargains I got were amazing.
I hope to start entering a few challenges again soon.

Getting back into routine again after a great holiday.
Today I held a craft session for some girls from school with their children/grandchildren. They ranged in age from 3 to 12 ( the children that is!)
We made cards, calenders, door hangers etc and I think they all enjoyed themselves. It’s good to see kids being creative instead of stuck in front of a computer screen (oops like I’m doing now!!)
Here are a few cards I made recently. They aren’t for any challenges though.
